Explain each attribute (at-least default ones) and provide exhaustive list of values to choose from for each attribute, such as timezone strings.

INSTALLED_APPS

By default, INSTALLED_APPS contains the following apps, all of which come with Django:

• django.contrib.admin – The admin site. You’ll use it shortly.
• django.contrib.auth – An authentication system.
• django.contrib.contenttypes – A framework for content types.
• django.contrib.sessions – A session framework.
• django.contrib.messages – A messaging framework.
• django.contrib.staticfiles – A framework for managing static files.

Can comment some of these apps if not needed. (i think only django.contrib.messages can be removed for DRF)

Consider turning off USE_I18N if you don't need translation machinery, for better performance.
